I got stopped because my kid's cub scout knife was still in my purse from a meeting.

Do DC schools have to report weapons to MPD? Why didn’t this make the news?

Not all knives are weapons, so PPs post could be misleading. Not enough info here.

May not even be a weapon. Would not be on the news unless someone was stabbed and seriously injured.

This was not the fight on Friday that you are talking about - something different - correct?

What is an example of a knife that cannot be used as a weapon? Small butter knife? Besides that, they are all capable of puncturing or cutting.

I don’t know OP , you’re not likely to get a real story here. My 6th trader has been coming home with stories of weed at recess and in the bathrooms for nearly 2 weeks. I don’t know what to believe so good luck with getting a real story.

Many things can be used as a weapon. That's not the point. The question is, was this a knife that was intended to intimidate another student, or did some kid forget to take out his backpack a Swiss Army knife after a scouts trip (or something along those lines)?
