| Did a kid get a knife in past security at Deal?! |
probably along with all the other contraband that comes in daily! |
| Yep. The kid is still at school too. |
| I got stopped because my kid's cub scout knife was still in my purse from a meeting. |
| Do DC schools have to report weapons to MPD? Why didn’t this make the news? |
| Hardy >> Deal |
Not all knives are weapons, so PPs post could be misleading. Not enough info here. |
May not even be a weapon. Would not be on the news unless someone was stabbed and seriously injured. |
| This was not the fight on Friday that you are talking about - something different - correct? |
Yes, this was apparently more than a week ago. |
| Can someone please provide more details? |
What is an example of a knife that cannot be used as a weapon? Small butter knife? Besides that, they are all capable of puncturing or cutting. |
| I don’t know OP , you’re not likely to get a real story here. My 6th trader has been coming home with stories of weed at recess and in the bathrooms for nearly 2 weeks. I don’t know what to believe so good luck with getting a real story. |
| Wow, weed at Deal too? |
Many things can be used as a weapon. That's not the point. The question is, was this a knife that was intended to intimidate another student, or did some kid forget to take out his backpack a Swiss Army knife after a scouts trip (or something along those lines)? |
