Would you say “pop my cherry” at work?

This term was just used by a younger guy in a meeting about working on a project for the first time. No one seemed phased, but I cringed. I thought this was a graphic sexual term.

No I wouldn’t but I also would not cringe.

No BUT I think it's one of those phrases.where younger people don't really see it as crude.

I have heard younger people use it a few times. To them it isn't sexual - it means do something for the first time. Even though I am sure they know the origin is sexual, they used it for benign things.

^ They also use the word virgin to mean never having done something. I am a x virgin.

He's a bit of an idiot. It's not graphic, just dumb and inappropriate at work.

I heard that once too. I assumed the guy didn’t actually know what it meant.
