My kid got $39K. They also got $34K from Loyola Chicago, and Hofstra $43k.

From what I understand, these colleges give almost everyone some kind of aid. I don't understand why they don't just reduce the coa and not give out so much aid.

People associate higher price tags with higher quality, both in and out of college admissions.

People are sheep, I guess. No way is Hofstra, Loyolas better than the publics like UMD and UVA, but it's a hell of a lot more expensive.
