Does the right to speedy trial trump adequate time to prepare?

Trump of course wants nothing to do with an opportunity to clear his name before the primary election even starts. 🤔

That's so risky. When he loses his attorneys will have only five weeks to prepare for trial in Fulton County. Election fraud is not a federal employee's job.

Apparently in GA if you ask for a speedy trial and don’t get it they have to dismiss your charges, so Chesebro will get his early trial but Trump and the others will file to sever their cases to delay their trials. Willis won’t want to sever the RICO case, but Chesebro is a small fish so he might succeed in going first apart from the big fish.

Another charge relates to Trump and lawyer John Eastman allegedly filing false documents in a federal court case in Georgia that asserted thousands of people had voted illegally, even though that was not true.

Eastman can’t stop won’t stop criming.

That’s awesome. We are all eager to see this trial get underway.

But. How will trump control what gets established at these early trials?

There’s an excellent chance their trial strategy will be to point the finger at trump.
