How many sweaters do you own?

I have 13 pullovers and 5 cardigans. Did a konmari last year so love the pieces I’ve kept. I want to cut down on consumption this year but keep seeing things on sale that I want.

26 eek.

I do wear them all though. A few are really warm and I only wear occasionally but I do wear them every year. My daily "uniform" is jeans and a sweater.

Was 3-4 dozen and now down to about 15. Large closets lead to keeping way too much stuff! Did a post holiday clean out of excess winter clothes and coats. Wearing non-special occasion articles of clothing / coats just a few times a season...felt like it would be better to just donate.

16 cardigans. I wear 9 of them regularly (5 a week from Nov to March) and all but 2 pretty regularly.

I don’t own a pullover anymore.

Not many, maybe 5? I am just not a sweater person. They’re itchy. They seem to add bulk, at least to me. I have a few pullovers from LL Bean that are more like sweatshirt material but not as thick, and they’re much more comfortable to me.

Tons and I happily buy more, although I allow myself only a couple of expensive ones a year and otherwise comb the thrift stores for wool and cashmere. If I like them a lot and they get snagged, I wear them at home. I have moderate eczema and chronic hives and very dry skin and good quality wool does not make me itch ( I wear a snug cotton t underneath though).

Anyway, I'm not sure--probably 25 that are presentable to the world. This includes a couple of heavier ribbed cotton tops that are more sweater like than not. 5 cardigans but only one I really love.

Actually 2. One cotton/cashmere but also a cotton/silk that is lovely I wear in the spring. It has a round neck and I have exactly one top that looks right with it.

Oh no. I fear that. Most of my sweaters are wool or cashmere. How do you prevent moths.

PP, how do you wear the short sleeve ones? I could never wrap my head
around the concept of short sleeve sweater. If it is cold enough for sweater
then it is too cold for short sleeve.

It is kind of like having a swimsuit made of fur.

Usually about 5 cardis cotton or mix but never pure wool.. and and one or two crewneck cashmere standards.
Cashmere is the only wool I can handle, everything else.. itch itch itch..
