| What were your impression? |
I was not there but have a DD and am getting sick of all the politics with our current team. Huge rosters, coach issues and the list goes on. Looking to maybe switch and Arlington may be next closest team. Can someone tell me a little about these ID sessions? Why are they so early? If current team finds out we may leave life will be terrible for us for the spring so I'm not interested in having her look around until absolutely necessary. Coaches talk to each other and they always seem to find out when you are looking around. Girl on our team who went to a few practices with another team last year finished the season on the bench and she was a regular starter prior to that. |
| Nobody showed up, they were all tired from the FCV sessions |
Said no one ever. FCV sessions were a ghost town. |
| I guess it shows ECNL is still top dog. No one is showing up for DA sessions but the flock sure is running towards ECNL |
Hahahaha!
Thank you, I hadn't had my laugh for the day. |
| They lined everyone up and had them sprint. The girls who were the fastest were moved the top field. |
Seriously or you imagine? |
| looks like that is how the 07's for DA were selected a year ago... |
| note to self: Stay away from Arlington |
It’s hard to believe anything anybody writes on here. I don’t care for the younger Arlington coaches. But I seriously cannot believe that even Arlington would do this, especially for DAs. But U9-11. Please tell me this is a joke. |
ID session is only for DAs so it should be for anyone younger than current U12. |
Nope that’s how it was. DD said no skill evals, just running 40s, fitness test and divided to the fields. She got the feeling it was already decided before the sessions. |
| That’s how these things always go-decisions totally political, have very little to do with actual player skill or coaches keeping an open mind. Disappointing for a talented player that might like to break in to a team/club...never stand a chance. |
| I would suggest not relying on ID sessions. Email the coach, and go to the practices when invited. |
