really have no idea about this test, mind share your numbers, maybe we could have a little bit idea.
55, 50,50. 9A |
| V52, Q43, NV43, 99th percentile, 9A |
| 56V, 52Q, 48NV, 99th percentile, 9B |
| V52, Q48, NV45, 99th percentile, 9A |
| V57, Q52, NQ 55, all 99%, 9B |
Verbal is probably 3 standard deviations, much less than the rest of 5 standard deviations, thus being a "weakness". LOL |
| Your kid did very well. It’s not a competition. |
Except it is. Competitive magnet admissions depend on these scores. I'd say, out of all the scores above, 20:35 has the best shot. My own child got 54, 50, 45 and I'm positive she won't get into any magnets but will, most likely, be picked for enriched MS courses. We'll see in about a week.

Few kids get in so why worry about it. They can take ap in high school. It amazes how competitive parents are. |
|
OP, no intention for competition at all, just want to have an idea where DD is in the whole map.
Now seems 9B is better than 9A. |
9B is not better or worse than 9A. A means that the child’s scores are consistent across all three tests. B means that two of the scores are consistent and there is a relative outlier, either lower or higher than the other two. C means that the three scores are spread out with a clear low, middle, and high score. E is an extreme example of either B (outlier) or C (spread). |
Also, I’m finding it hilarious that only the parents of 99th %ile kids are responding. Is everyone else less crazy? (Maybe.) |
Wow, this post sounds very professional. I hope MCPS could post something like this for parents- whoever want to know.
|
I guess, Some W- cluster class got maybe half 99, even for curiosity, parents want to know more
