Almost bought one and would consider it in the future. It drove nicely and it was comfortable. Preferred it to the explorer and Aracdia and a few others in that category.

May I ask why you didn't buy it?

Wanted a more fun off roading car. I would consider it for our next car. Out of all of them it was my favorite out of all the SUV's which surprised me.

Just purchased it - love all the safety features. Like the space for 3rd row. The drive is really smooth. Seats more comfortable than other cars we test drove. Great safety ratings. One negative- I am not yet used to the interface - for me it is not intuitive.

I'm torn between it and the Telluride. Hope to make a decision soon. Thanks for this thread. Hope more people reply

The reason I went with the Hyundai is historical quality and safety is higher than Kia. Also the Hyundai has more 3rd row let room which is something that mattered as we do multiple toad trips a year

We are thinking about it but want to wait to see what the 2020 3-row Hyundai Genesis is going to look like before we buy

There is some co-mingling of ownership, but no, they are not the same automaker.

Kia and Hyundai are both car makers that originated in South Korea, and as a result of Kia's bankruptcy in 2007 Hyundai now owns a part of their company. ... However, Kia does still operate independently and has a separate design workshop, marketing, and branding.
