Is anyone else bothered that they did not go to church on Christmas?

no. I didn't go. |
I bet the members of whatever church they would have gone to appreciated not having to deal with all the security on Christmas. It's bad enough you have to get there an hour early to get a seat because the people who don't go all year show up on Holidays. |
No. I don't know why anyone would be. Do you think you should have a say so in his relationship with God? |
You would have to be an appalling twat for this to bother you. |
Most everything the president does or does not do is symbolic. I think a U.S. historian would have a different opinion. |
US Historians would probably say that he is symbolizing our lower interest in going to church. And he'd be right. I have no problem with them not attending church. |
Not that he attractes the same level of attention, but Biden manages to go to church every Sunday without any disruption to his fellow parishioners. |
It does not bother me a bit. We are Christians and regular churchgoers but we do not go to church on Christmas Day unless Christmas falls on a Sunday. We go on Christmas Ever usually, depending on where we are celebrating that year, but we might not go at all depending on our location or schedule. We are still very mindful of the religious nature of the day (and every day).
Plus, even if Obama's lack of attendance at church does not signify something more (lack of interest in church in general, lack of devotion, whatever you want to call it), that's none of my business and doesn't impact how I think about him or how he can do his job. |
Serious question: Why should it bother me? |
The only time I go to church is for wedding, funeral and the ocassional baptism. Why would this bother me? |
I don't. And I have a Masters in History. |
I have a Ph.D. in history and don't care whether or not he attends church--what opinion is it that you think I ought to have? |
Whether or not he goes to church does not bother me. That someone believes we have a right to put a religious test on the President, one way or the other, does bother me on Constitutional grounds. |
Good for them. |
