There’s another thread on here about people who are adored for being generous, salt of the earth, etc personalities but are secretly controlling/selfish/dark behind closed doors and Tom Hanks has always pinged this for me for reasons I cant even put my finger on. I think his aw-shucks image is very carefully calculated.
