Oh, I’m so bummed to hear that. I always loved Christopher Plummer; he reminded me of my (dashingly handsome) grandfather, too. |
Sandra, just stop. It’s an anonymous forum - your sweetheart reputation is safe. |
She was in the same friend circle as my older sisters in high school (theater and cheerleading) and they’ve seen and talked with her a few times every couple years. She’s fun and funny. And crazy protective of her kids and their privacy so I could see if she doesn’t want a pre-school moms day out group friendship. |

Yes, heard that she’s normal/nice despite being a billionaire heiress and Hollywood celeb. |
Oh Susan, not everyone wants to be your friend. You just aren’t that great. |
I think she means thin. Not petite. I've heard to her referred to.as "a hanger with a head", clothes look just as good on her as on the hanger, which is basically impossible. I adore her and her husband. I feel awful that she essentially was forced away from a cult at the expense of walking away from her children. |
Listen. It’s LA. There were at least 5 pretty big celebs in every year of preschool, plus now in private school there are even more. I have 4 kids and it’s not the first time we had celebrities in their class! No one and I mean no one was as standoffish as Sandra Bullock. All the other parents let their kids be normal and come to birthday parties and have play dates. Our current school has so many celebrity families (including Sandra) and all the parents except her come to the kids concerts and sports games and just interact with the community. I’m sure she’s nice to her inner circle, but she does not care about the people her children spend their time with at school |
Ok Karen. We get it. You want to be her friend. |
I LOVE this story so freaking much |
Christ, quit it already. This is a thread about which celebrities are normal and which are not - and it sounds like someone with actual experience with this person says Bullock is not. |
No, this thread is about which celebs you THINK are normal/grounded. There is another thread asking about celebs you have met. So tell Karen to state her case over there and stop trying to explain why she hates someone who hasn’t actually done anything to her except not be interested in her existence. |
| Look here. Karen (apparently) and I both have personal interactions with Sandy. I find her lovely. Fun and funny. Over the course of 30 years. Not sure what Karen’s deal is. Maybe it’s Karen? |
| On the Sandra Bullock issue, you can both be right. She might be a lovely, considerate person but also not be considered just like normal folk if she doesnt go to events at her kids school or let them go to class parties (which most people do). She can still be a nice person even if she opts out of that sort of normal suburban life....She is, after all, a big celebrity so I think it’s perfectly understandable if she wants to shelter herself and her kids. But I think she doesn’t meet the criteria for this thread if she doesn’t let her kids go to class birthday parties and doesn’t go to the awful holiday concert that the rest of us sit through. |
