I know threads like this pop up every once in a while, but I wanted to start a new one in anticipation of the New Year.
I want to focus on planning simple, real food type meals in 2020, heavy on fruits and veggies, with some whole grains, dairy and lean protein. Not necessarily "weight loss" food, but the types of foods and meals you can eat during a weight maintenance period. And of course since I have a picky toddler they need to be quick/easy and kid friendly. Some of my go to dinners: roasted salmon, broccoli and a carb sheet pan chicken fajitas poached cod in tomato sauce with white beans and a veggie chicken and veggie stir fry pesto pasta with chicken and peas (I know, I know, but toddlers. I just have a small portion and add a salad) Care to share any easy, kid approved meal ideas? |

If your kids eat chili or soups, you can make a big pot on the weekend and have leftovers for the week (or to freeze). Depending on the recipe, these can be pretty healthy/low calorie.
My kids like roasted sweet potatoes (or baked if I have more time). |
