These get a lot of hate on here but the new one looks great...refreshed Yukon and Escalade to follow in January.

Model X cannot drive off-road. In terms of cargo/people-hauling space it's not even close to GM's full-size SUVs.

Wife and I live in DC proper with our 2 kiddos in car seats. We park on the street which already rules out EVs. We have ILs nearby who provide childcare. I am often driving the whole clan around. We frequently go to IL's house in Delaware where we have a surf fishing permit and like to drive on the beach. Model X or Sienna would not be a good fit for our use case.

A minivan has the same people/cargo-carrying capabilities as a Suburban though it cannot drive off-road. My wife and I also prefer the higher seating position and curb weight of the truck.

Sounds like it's a good option in your case. I suspect most families with a Suburban never take them off-road though.

Is the Roof even lower on the Suburban? My first glance liked it, but that is the front. I like the front, the back not really.

Tahoe and Suburban are the same height, they've both gotten ~1.5" taller than the outgoing generation

Is this a mid model update or full redesign? When was the last full redesign?

What are you talking about? None of those off road.

I have a 2020 Tahoe. Only thing I like better is the sunroof looks bigger. I hate the chrome strip on the rear, serves no purpose, much like the chrome around the windows. And if they keep making the dimensions bigger, nobody will be able to fit them in garage. Mine is tight now.

Um, did they down-size it? It definitely looks smaller to me.

Time for a new house.
