Where to take grandparents tonight

Enchant is sold out for times we want with our toddler. Zoo Lights is our back up plan.

Anything else that I am missing.

I saw there was a 3:30pm Nutcracker at the Warner.

National Harbor events?

DC Wharf. They have a tree and s’mores truck, two fire pits.

There is also Meadowlark or Brookside Gardens for other light options.

Meadowlark was a hit with us!

I’d go driving with grandparents sitting next to your 3yo, and head home for hot chocolate or eggnog and Christmas cookies as soon as the 3yo seemed bored. But that’s me.

Brookside is closed tonight. I was going to suggest the lights at Seneca state park in Gburg (you can driive through them.. great hit with the less-mobile crowd) but I suspect they are closed tonight also.

It’s Christmas Eve. That can’t be a shock

Why take them anywhere. Christmas Eve is a time to stay home and enjoy family, eggnog, cookies, even fruitcake.

How about a Christmas Eve candlelight service? Or a children's church service, followed by driving through nearby neighborhoods to see lights.

I don’t know how your family is but when our family stays home for the entire day, we all end up watching tv.

Nope. We watched one movie after dinner and that was it. Played games, wrapped gifts, cooked and ate. Kids played with each other and the dog. We love these days! Will repeat tomorrow and reluctantly go somewhere Thursday.
