This is fascinating. I always wondered why Garza left abruptly to take a job with a nonprofit in Ohio.

Someone might want to check out the planning and construction contracts, too. Maybe that has something to do with all the expansions where space is not needed?

A forensic audit is sorely needed. We know who is best buddies with the contractors who get awards for expansions that aren’t needed or are quietly adjusted to be bigger than originally disclosed.

As an employee I remember the emails and the job postings for this contractor - there were people who left disgusted at
Needing a contractor to send emails basically tell Us to turn off lights unplug mini fridges during breaks

Yes!!!!!!!!! I have been furious about this corruption since they first brought Cenergistics in...seeing they were from Lubbick immediately raised red flags to me, and it was CRAZY that they would get 50% of a cut in energy savings. I actually called my school board member during SOL testing a few was ago because Cenergistics wouldn’t let us turn up the A/C and it was over 80% in the library’s when kids were testing. I basically told off the Cenergistics rep when she came to tell me it was at the right temperature and told her I was going to call the Washington Post and make it a huge story if she didn’t turn it down. She did, finally.

I’ve heard so many stories of Cenergistics screwing things up in schools and facing no consequences, just so they could skim money off of FCPS...like, turning off all the freezers in a high school cagetieria over break, because they use up so much energy...and then all the food inside was spoiled when the school was reopened 2 weeks later. And of course there was no consequence to Cenergistics. It was an outrageous contract...if FCPS wanted to save on energy and needs speople to coordinate the cost savings, thy could themselves have sent memos reminding people to turn off everything before breaks, etc. We didn’t need some company to come in and take 50% of the savings. It was really striking how all of a sudden wen this co tract went through and Garza’a Pals were profiting off our energy conservation, principals were getting stern memos and being told how important it was into enforce all of the rules Cenergistics was laying out. We even had a staff meeting with the Cenergistics rep to explain how important it was and what our school’s goals were. It was infuriating.

Oh, I hope Garza can comehow be found personally liable. Makes sense this might be connected to her abrupt departure.

Investigation would need to be done by the Feds in the Eastern District of Virginia.

Steve Descano is a Democratic hack (owes his election to huge contributions from PAC controlled by George Soros) and no one should think for a second he’s going to investigate the Democrat School Board’s contracts.
