| Do you track your significant other’s phone location? |
|
No, but we generally know where the other is so I don't see why we would. Isn't the point of a cell phone in general that you can find someone no matter where they are, by calling?
Or is this always, 100% about having been cheated on and being stalkery/paranoid/invading privacy? |
| Which method? |
| We have each other on the find friends app. I don't track him generally but I use it sometimes to see if he's on his way home or something |
| dude, no. I would only do that if I suspected my husband was up to something (like cheating) And he also works a job where I wouldn't be able to track him a good portion of the day, anyway. |
oh, huh - I hadn't thought of this. OK, maybe I should start using this so I don't have to call him all pissy when he's running late. |
|
Yes, using the Iphone Find My app. It's really useful for figuring out whether or not he has left the office or double checking that he and the kids did, in fact, make it on the bus to daycare that only runs every 25 minutes. It's better than texting or calling because when he's commuting and child wrangling he isn't going to respond immediately.
I'm assuming if he wanted to cheat he would be smart enough to leave his phone in the office or turn off the tracker. |
I do this too, mostly to time dinner and when I should start shaking the martini. He often says leaving in 5 and it's really 35 and he often has conference calls on his way home so I can't call him. I also don't want to text my teens when they are driving so I use the location app to see their ETA. |
|
I feel like we just have this conversation.

Me again, I also share location with my siblings so we can check if someone left yet/expected ETA. One of them said she likes to know that I have her phone location if something happens because she knows I really don't care where she is at any given moment. |
Same. That's pretty much the only time I use it. It's really helpful to see when someone will actually be arriving. |
|
I don’t but my SIL / BIL do for each other.
They want to track me too, but I don’t let them except when I am visiting them haha. |
| We do for convenience. One of us might be in a meeting or driving or just in the neighborhood and it's a quick way to know eachother's location. NBD. We track the kids and they track us, too. |
+1 This is my wife and I (and our teenage kids). It has nothing to do with suspicion and everything to do with coordination. |
|
No, but I sent dh permission to track me. He didn’t ask for it, I sent it to him.
I travel a lot and if worse comes to worse, i am hoping he’ll remember that he has this ability. i am hoping he’d look for me if I disappear. |
