Hosted or attended a nature center bday party?

We are hosting a nature center bday party in January. I’m having a hard time finding party supplies and decorations. The closest thing seems to be “woodland” party supplies. I would love suggestions for decorations/party supplies/favors. Thanks!

We've been to several. Anything is fine, animals or Dora or anything. What does your DC like?

Just went to one. The decor was sparse, because there's really no need for much. But it was a general snakes, lizards, etc theme.

We hosted one but couldnt hang on the walls. I did bugs and just random stuff in the bags.

You don’t have to worry about a theme

We hosted one. I just used bright tablecloths and a happy birthday banner. It was all about the animals anyway and I didn’t want to set up or clean up a bunch of stuff. It’s only as hard as you decide to make it.

Thanks! What did you give for party favors?

We did one a few years back—a tablecloth was the only decoration. As a favor I gave them each a small flashlight (it was at the meadow side nature center in Montgomery county—there’s a dark “cave” for the kids to go in and out of, so the flashlight was good for that).

I hit up the Woodland themed section on Oriental trading for stuff like this:

I liked the headbands, which I handed them out at the beginning so kids could wear them during the party if they wanted (success will vary by age and crowd). The finger puppets were eh. I like the above poster's flashlight idea.

Use bright yellow tablecloths to brighten up the place. Green, brown and yellow balloons. Leaf green plates, brown cups, and brown or green napkins. Green/brown forks, spoons.

I have hosted 2 parties at the nature center. I just brought themed cake, plates, cups and napkins. Didn’t really decorate extra.

And my themes were dinosaurs and another year was Diego.
