We did two for DD - one year we used Little Pet Shop decorations since she was really into those. The next year I think I just used solid color decorations in greens (we were mostly outside and hiking for that one)

Blow up some balloons. String them on fishing line. Use sharpie to draw bugs and snakes on them. Tie it up for a balloon banner. No helium required.
