| I honestly can’t believe they thought Cats would be a good movie. I can’t imagine this movie will make money. Maybe I am way off. Thoughts? |
| Unbelievable it made it as a Broadway musical for so long. But people do love cats—on the internet at least. |
| If we get bored over Xmas break, I MIGHT take my kids.. |
OP here- but isn’t Cats boring? Especially for kids. It has no plot. |
| I loved Cats when I was in high school (in its heyday in the 80’s). Took my daughter to the Kennedy Center a couple months ago to see it. We left halfway through. What was amazing in the 80’s has not stood the test of time, that’s for sure! |

It’s silly that the trailer makes Victoria look like the lead. She has a tiny role in the play. I guess they are justifying the diversity, when there’s no need because Rum Tum Tugger is traditionally played by a black performer and is a major role.
Also Bombalurina is normally a small part but Taylor Swift. |
| Isn’t jadon derulo and his anaconda in it? |
|
The previews of this movie look like my worst nightmare come to life.
That said, I didn't hate the Broadway show, but that was because I took my little sister, who was enthralled. It's a lovely show for children age 5-12. |
I actually have never seen Cats so I don’t know! |
It’s based on poems by Ts Eliot: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Old_Possum%27s_Book_of_Practical_Cats So kind of like Fantasia. Your kids would probably like it. |
| My kid is excited to see the movie after watching the ads and previews. I have an open mind! |
| It's a horrible show. I'm sure it made a horrible movie. |
lol he is so damn fine! |
| The trailer creeped me out. They all look so weird and freaky. Hard pass. |
I think they look better when you have the physical distance between the stage and the audience than when you see them close up in the movie. People in animal face makeup always look creepy up close. |
