That makes sense. I saw the musical growing up and don’t remember feeling quite so weirded out.

I saw the trailer and wondered why anyone thought this was a good idea. Humans with weird cat butts and cat faces in super spandex? No thanks.

I think it seems so sad. The trailer voiceover says it's picking one cat to live a good life... that's good/ terrible at the same time. I love the Eliot poem, have lived in NY my entire life and had ample opportunity to see the musical, but I never did. I don't think I need to see the film either.

Does no one know this plot? One cat is picked to die and “go up to the Heavyside Layer.” Jeez, people.
