When do sons develop any modesty around mom?

| I only have girls, but we just had a 6yo boy over for a play date and when he had to go potty he just dropped trou and took a leak in front of god and everybody. So.... sometime after 6 lol |

My 10 year old has gone through periods of modesty over the years, like when he became aware that I shut my bedroom door when I change. For a while after that he’d insist on privacy in the bathroom, and would cover himself if I came in the room. But then he swings back to not caring, which is where he is now. |
