When do sons develop any modesty around mom?

My oldest is in college and still strips in front of me but he is a college athlete and I just think being naked is something he has to do every day.

I have three boys. They each developed modesty right before puberty started. One day they were running around the house naked without a care and almost overnight they were covering up. It was shortly after the covering up started that puberty began. I knew puberty started because the pediatrician told me.

About age 5 for my son. He is very modest— not sure where it comes from. He has never gone bare chested at the pool— insists on wearing a swim shirt.

By 5. It was one of those things where I wanted them dressing, going potty by themselves (not needing help with wiping) and also bathing by themselves by the time they entered full day K.Probably around late 3 I shooed them back in their rooms if they were running around naked after their baths. It was just a natural, gradual thing. No embarrassment, no shame involved at all. I think better err on the side of a little early than on the side of a little late with this sort of thing. But that's just me.
