How many miles did your tires last if you bought a new Honda vehicle?

Tires on most new cars last about 25,000 miles.

Mine were fine after 36,000 miles and the lease was up, but it depend on how you drive and what the manufacturer says. Regular maintenance will spot any issues. is this your first car?

It's my first new car in 14 yrs. Just wondered if I should expect 30k or 50k...cause I'm coming up on 30k and like to plan ahead.

They can last 50k easy if you rotate time to time. I'd recommend at least every 10k. Walmart, surprisingly, is a good place to do it. 12$/tire rotate/balance, life time.

just wanted to add - check your tire pressure often. low pressure will eat up the rubber

There are some tires that have a design lifespan of 6,000 miles. Others are designed to go 50,000. Very different tires, for very different purposes. So it depends entirely on the tire, where you drive it, and how you drive it.

Probably not an issue anymore. But when I bought a 2007, the OEM tires were horrible! Defeated the entire purpose of all wheel drive. Put Michelin’s on them about two years in and it was like driving a different car. And the Michelin’s lasted 60,000 miles. Easily.

The OEM tires were Bridgestone Duelers for what it’s worth. I assume they don’t come with the same tires now?

We just replaced our 2020 CRV's tires after only 20,000 miles of summer only use. We use winter tires from late Oct. to early May, every year. This seems like we had bad tires?

They were the original tires from Honda.

Original tires from Honda should last 40-50k miles.

Your tire sidewalk should have a UTOQ code indicating the manufacturer traction, tread wear and temperature rating. The higher the number, the harder the compound and the longer it will last (in theory). But as others have indicated, check tire pressures frequently using the recommendation label on the driver door and inspect for wear and damage such as bulges, tread separation, cracking and dry rot.

Different vehicles have different tires. Even the same vehicles coming off the same assembly line may have different tires due to availability at the time. TireRack has excellent ratings and reviews if you search by tire brand and specific model. Pay particular attention to speed rating of tire as H-rated will wear substantially slower than V or Z-rated.
