How long do tires last on a new Honda crv?

Just for giggles, looked up CR-V Hybrid AWD EX-L, comes with Bridgestone ECOPIA H/L 422 PLUS tires, with a 700AA rating, meaning it can last up to 70k miles.

There’s no way those are going to last 70,000 miles. And forget about wet and snow traction.

Argue with the engineers, not me. That's what the tread ratings mean. They will warranty it for that many miles.

It’s principally a matter of marketing, not engineering. Good luck wearing each of all four tires evenly down to the bar during the applicable warranty period to get a pro rated, non-discounted purchase price on essentially the same tire from the same manufacturer. Make sure you have documentation of the purchase and tire rotations every 5,000 miles and keep your pressures and alignment perfectly within spec.

I would never get behind the wheel of a car with less than 3/32” of tread because handling and braking are likely to be severely compromised, never mind dealing with rain or wintry conditions, but unfortunately others make decisions which also put everyone else at risk.
