| fyi, YOU are traffic. You create and contribute to it. |
No. Traffic, like hell, is other people. |
seriously doubt he has to drive in rush hour traffic to get to a job or appointments.
"It's easy to be a holy man on the top of a mountain." Maugham, in the Razor's Edge. |
Sounds like you need to move to a less dense area where you can walk to work and appointments. |
seriously do some meditation, traffic does not make you mad you need to control yourself. |
I hear you!!! I totally agree. My commute used to be one hour each way and now almost two hours each way. 4 hours in a car each day is crazy!! I need to move and soon!!! |
| Podcasts!!! Get into some good podcasts. Has changed my whole perspective on traffic. Now I want to stay in my car. |
| Yes, you and people just like you are the traffic. Make some life changes (new house, new job, whatever) so you don't have to drive in heavy traffic during rush hour. |
I retired because I hated the commute. I'm so much happier now. And without meditation. |
Everyone in a car wants everyone else in a car to get off the road. |
| My husband is like this and he recognizes it in himself and chooses accordingly. He will not work more than 20 minutes from work, in rush hour. It’s absolutly a deal-breaker for him. Thankfully we live in Nova so his options include Reston, Herron, Chantilly, Centreville, etc. He tried Tyson’s for about 9 months but that was a no-go. It was 45 on a good day. |
Did you start this commute in the 50's? |
| This is why I prioritize a walkable lifestyle over consumption. I’m much happier. You may want to try it too. |
