I hear you!!! I totally agree. My commute used to be one hour each way and now almost two hours each way. 4 hours in a car each day is crazy!!

Yes, you and people just like you are the traffic. Make some life changes (new house, new job, whatever) so you don't have to drive in heavy traffic during rush hour.

I retired because I hated the commute. I'm so much happier now. And without meditation.

My husband is like this and he recognizes it in himself and chooses accordingly. He will not work more than 20 minutes from work, in rush hour. It’s absolutly a deal-breaker for him. Thankfully we live in Nova so his options include Reston, Herron, Chantilly, Centreville, etc. He tried Tyson’s for about 9 months but that was a no-go. It was 45 on a good day.

This is why I prioritize a walkable lifestyle over consumption. I’m much happier. You may want to try it too.
