COGAT is confusing. What level?

Its COGAT, but you cannot study because then it is prepping.

At the Blair open house the director of the program actually suggested you have your kid look at the sorts of questions beforehand. I don't know if that's prepping, but I was surprised to hear him say that. He said, "Don't go overboard, but you might want to have your child look at the Cogat online. Just google, Cogat, and it'll come up."

Just wonder what kind test they used before. For middle school magnet, it was raven, scat etc. the results were raw scores such as number of correct answer of total questions.

For high school, it definitely wasn't CogAt! PSAT, maybe?

At the MS Magnet meeting, they told parents exactly which CoGat it was and told parents the same thing. Check out sample questions for it.

Would you mind sharing which CoGAT they mentioned? Also, do kids have to write an essay as part of the test? Thank you

Nothing wrong with prepping. Prep all the way!
