What exam is used for HS magnet placement?

Does anyone know what kinds of scores on the COGAT were typical of admitted students last year? I know that there was a thread but I can't find it.

Anyone know if they're using 7th/8th grade cogat, 9th grade cogat or 10th grade cogat? I was under the impression that they would be testing using 8th grade level, but I was just re-educated by my DS, who claims to have friends who took a 9th-grade level test last year.
