His regular salon is booked out and his hair is in his eyes. I have never in my life done this. Will it work? |
I could never do it. My husband cuts our son's hair and does a good job. I'm pretty sure I wood screw it up badly. Are you otherwise crafty and patient? At the very least, I'd recommend watching lots of YouTube videos before you take matters into your own hands. |
I cut my kids' hair. Sometimes it goes better than others, but I can always try again later if need be. |
If you are confident, you can do it. |
Worse you can do is a buzz cut. Why not. |
Waiting a week won’t make a difference. My kids were way too squirmy for me. |
You take him to a “salon” that books out and you are going to cut it yourself? What’s wrong with the local barber, walk-in? |
Why wouldn't it work? I've used clippers on my toddler and preschooler. It works fine, except for the bangs, which I always use scissors for. The results are never that different from taking them to a salon. You can find youtube videos for techniques. |
I guess you're not a DIY person, but I find this question absurd. Even if you can't cut a straight line, a 3-year-old will be fine with you trimming his bangs. Only you will notice or care about the results anyway. |
+1 |
Dumb and dumber is stuck in my head. |
This is the best point on this whole thread. Thank you. I have an older daughter and have just always take. Them both to the kid salon. I have never walked into a barber shop. Today will be a first. |
You must be the OP then. |
Do people still use flowbee? You might try that |
Take him somewhere else. Some other random professional is likely to do a perfectly fine job, sets only better than you, with no experience. |
