This is the best point on this whole thread. Thank you. I have an older daughter and have just always take. Them both to the kid salon. I have never walked into a barber shop. Today will be a first.

Glad I could help. It will be fine.

How difficult is it to just wet the hair, make a line in the middle of the head with a comb, comb the hair forward in front of the eyes and just cut a straight line?

I have cut my girls hair. Sometimes it is good sometimes okay but no big deal. I can always cut it shorter to even it out.

I had not done this before. You tube videos helped me and now I save a ton on hair cutting for my kids. The last time I cut it, people complimented my kid's hairstyle and couldn't believe I did it.

Check TheSalonGuy videos on youtube. He makes it look so easy.

I cut my daughters hair too and agree its easy. But I would not personally attempt this on a boy unless it was a total short buzz.

I mean, of course you CAN cut it. But if the end goal is for it to look better than where you started, I wouldn't do it. I do think if you're just using clippers, you could probably figure it out, but there won't be much style to it. Which is ok, he's 3. But is a buzz cut what you're looking for?
