I got the letter yesterday and my kid got approved. |
Please join the appeals thread and post scores. It will be very helpful to the parents who end up appealing next year. |
She was in the pool and GBRS was 12, but got rejected. She took the test of WICS and got 146.
She got in finally! |
Too bad this self selection of under performers is paid for by everyone in the county . as a result Fairfax county continues to lag behind Loudon county Nietzsche's superman would fit right in.Truly gifted students will thrive in spite of the education environment |
We still not received NNAT score of our 1st grade daughter. What is the timeline to get it? |
Haven't you bothered to check the other threads on the subject? How about the Fairfax County school website? Sorry, not going to do your work for you. |
January after the NNAT test was taken. So if your daughter took the NNAT in fall 2011, you should receive the score in January 2012. Therefore, sometime in the next two weeks. |
So Jan 2012 appears to be like the Jan 2009 round of scores for the benchmark. Does anyone know how the 1st grade NNAT scores will work alongside the 2nd grade CogAT scores? |
We haven't gotten any letter from the school saying yes or no. I called the school and they said letters were sent out on Monday of this week.
Are you sure we are supposed to get a letter even if our DC doesn't make the cut? Are there any tips on filling out this referral form? Should we include scores? I don't even know what my DC got in her CogAT, just know the NNAT scores. |
Wow. You are truly clueless. Read the AAP website before posting here, please. |
Does anyone knows if multiple reduced size certificates are acceptable on a A4 size sheet so we can submit more than 5 certificates/recommendations. |

See page 7 of the linked document which mentions standard 8 1/2 x 11 paper: http://www.fcps.edu/is/aap/packet/ParentInformationPacketFCPS.pdf |
I know, but my question is on the standard 8 1/2 x 11 paper can I print three or four reduced size certificates.
This is due to 12 to 15 certificates my son has. |
I would think so as the guidelines state that larger and smaller artwork can be photocopied onto standard paper. Be aware that a copy of the materials submitted will be made and you would likely want the photocopy (or photocopies0 to be legible. |
