This may be a roundabout way of saying that the attorneys strongly suggested it be taken down. Also, I don't buy the part about Kane "taking down" her internet. She can get on the internet a variety of ways, including purchasing her own service! There's an idea. |

Definitely enjoy reading the majority of these posts. It's nice to have a place where you can express your opinions - the show wants to be a large part of their listener's days and have their full support but you cant make everyone happy.
I was a VERY loyal listener...I have an active job outdoors and would listen to the app/replay station all day while working. To the point where I was bored to tears but I wanted something else to listen to besides music. I have since started listening to podcasts and audiobooks. I stopped listening well before his big announcement for many reasons.. 1) For a long time if you would listen to the show on the replay app, you would hear them repeat the same stories over and over again...which is fine. They were sharing the story with listeners who may not have been listening earlier. What got me was the pretending that it was the first time they had heard it. Literally after repeating the same story twice, Kane would be like "OMG John, have you heard about the crazy person who worked at the Walmart" and John would be like "NO?? WHAT HAPPENED". It was cheesy and gross. 2) Kane became very sexually suggestive with Rose (especially) and Danni. You could tell it made them awkward and uncomfortable at points. 3) I remember one day when Danni had to stay home because of pregnancy issues, he announced about 80 times "I told Danni to stay home because WE ARE A FAMILY. And she is so important and her baby is important" "I decided that her health was more important". (Emphasis on the I). He said it literally every 10 minutes...bragging about being so thoughtful yet at the same time you could almost tell he was mad that she wasn't there. 4) Before Kane we had Mark & Kris (sp?). My boyfriend at the time's sister worked on the show and loved her job/working with them. She stayed on when Kane and his crew came on board and she told me from the getgo that he was an asshole. She would go on and on about how much of a jerk he was to work with and how cliquey he was. Apparently he would bring gifts for specific people and blatantly leave other peers in the room out and make things awkward. If you weren't part of his group you were ostracized. She told me too that Roses was absolutely fake and they hired actors. I was the asshole of all of my friends ruining that for them by telling them it was fake, lol. 5) I actually liked Danni most out of the group - I thought she was funnier and not as fake as everyone else. But, as a friend recently said to me when she said she stopped listening to the show - all of the drama airing as made the show very tense and stressful. I don't really want to turn on my radio driving to work and hear someone sobbing. These are just somethings I have made ntoes of in my head while reading the other posts. People getting mad about people spending their energy on talking about it are fooling themselves- guarantee you they watch Access Hollywoods or discuss celebrity gossip. Not that these people are really celebrities...but, like I said before, they want to be a large part of their listener's days and lives. This is what happens. People form opinions- not everyone is a mindless drone who takes everything they say as gospel. A friend of mine and I, back when this was a hotter topic after his breakdown on air, broke down the timeline of what he said happened with what was obvious and possible. It doesn't line up. The fact that he thinks he took the high road is ridiculous. Airing all that drama on air is NOT taking the high road. Its a cop out to say "but leave her alone". You know he was sitting there reading all the nasty comments and death threats being posted on her IG and FB and smiling to himself...all the while having his interns delete the ones on his social media. It's hard enough to deal with something so difficult - especially while trying to be gentle with your children - putting your family on blast like that and making them so public to scrutiny is not something a responsible, respectable father does. It is an attention seeking drama creator who wants to victimize himself. I am sure N did things that were not right too. The end of a relationship brings out the worst in people. But she didn't go to the lengths that he did...the damage is done. With all of the lying he does effortlessly on air it is not far fetched to imagine that he was lying about his relationship with her and what she has done. That probably leaked into their day to day lives as well. |

More signs point to the ratings-troubled station going back to its Mix 107.3 adult contemporary format, moving away from its current contemporary All The Hits 107.3 and DC's 107.3 days. Back in the day, Hess used to program Clear Channel (now iHeart) outlets WASH, with its adult contemporary format, and oldies WBIG, so he does know something about the music radio side of things. The names Jack Diamond (right), Jimmy Alexander, and even current WASH morning man Loo Katz are being mentioned by sources regarding the possible "new" sound of RQX. | Listening over the past few months it has become obvious to me that Kane is a giant asshole. He has to try SO hard to come off as a nice person. He had me fooled for awhile too but ever since the big divorce announcement, I've been able to see past the fake front he puts on every day. |
