Because you're talking about it. You remember that Trump was rambling about Hannibal Lector, in the context of insane and violent people pouring into the country, which reinforces Trump's major policy. This is much more effective than some dry speech reciting the facts of illegal immigration.

Trump claimed that Venezuela emptied its prisons and mental institutions and sent all of its "Hannibal Lecters" to the US. Except there's absolutely no evidence that Venezuela sent all of its prisoners and mental patients to the US. So his Hannibal Lecter story is based on fiction.

Do you have evidence they didn’t? Go to Venezuela and keep track of prison and institutional populations before and after Biden’s border crisis?

Trump’s speeches are always the same. He talks about himself about 90% of the time. He then talks trash about the latest person he has beef with. After he talks about the people who love him, the dictators who he admires love him. Then he calls South and Central Americans seeking asylum murderers and mentally ill instead of laying out a plan to control immigrants.

How can anyone seriously listen to this and not think, gee he sure does spend a lot of time talking about himself and not much on problem solving or policy details.
