audi q7 or acura mdx

I test drove both. I really like both, can't decide which to choose.

If I was going to drop over $50k on an automobile, I wouldn’t purchase a gussied up Honda...

Then again, I’m perhaps biased since I’ve owned Audis exclusively for the past decade.

Love our Q 5 but long term reliability stinks and anything in terms of repairs cost a fortune. Moving back to the MDX just treat drive today. Or might do the Lexus but seats stink in the Lexus.

We did get out Audi from Frederick over Rockville. If you are in MD it’s worth the drive to Frederick. I live ten minutes from Rockville Audi not a fan.

I’m the 18:10 poster. Also purchased a Q5 from Frederick. Sorry to hear about your troubles. We’ve had no issues at all.

I would prefer to have the q7. If I was buying and using it ten years I would buy the Acura.

Ah, you have a preference for a gussied up VW.

That’s funny.
Great response!

funny perhaps, but wrong since the VW-Audi and Honda-Acura relationships are different

OP - I was just in your shoes. Test drove both. Opted for the MDX, although it was more of a gut choice. Probably can’t go wrong with either. Good Luck!

Audi, the Acura’s are most butt ugly cars on the road

Audis have really gone downhill in the last few years. MDX.

I have no skin in the game, but this isn’t true. Acura’s look fine. Not stylish, but fine. They’re the “mom car” where I live. Audi’s are more high end. Acura’s last longer, less problems but still fun to drive.

Isn’t the MDX cheaper? I’d go with that.

But in reality I’d just get a pilot or Highlander if I wanted that size car.

You me of a guy at a Porsche driving event who was telling us that his Q5 is basically the same as the Macan. The Q5 is a tiny, overpriced VW and the interior is miles of hard plastic.

Lol. Quite the stretch there, Sport. PP made no such comparison. Why the unnecessary insult?

I have an rdx and q7.
The q7 is newer and we went with that over the mdx mainly because our rdx had a weird electrical issue that took almost 6 months to finally figure and we thought the mdx was a little pedestrian compared to the Audi. Most annoying thing about the Audi is the cup holders are too small for most coffee tumblers.
Otherwise it has a much nicer interior and better features. We got the 3.0 prestige package so it was about 8-10k more than an mdx.
