| Ten years ago it was $5k including clothing and jewelry. We rented a room in a restaurant and had close family and friends with our priest. The next day we had a great back yard party with everyone who was important to us and their families. Party trays from Giant, beer, wine, soda, water and cakes from Costco. Have never regretted not breaking the bank. We all had lots of fun. Our family picked up the food and our friends cleaned up the kitchen so we got to just enjoy. |

| About $150/person a$210/person for total cost of a seated reception with dj, surf and turf. It was hard to find a price under that in DC proper. |

And it had a DJ budgeted and almost nothing for alcohol. The catering at my wedding 20 years ago in Baltimore was more than they budgeted. |

| Not sure if you are asking about DC the place or DC the child. My DCs wedding this year (but not in DC) was $75-$80k. The venue was expensive. |

The rental fee is only $9K. The rest are expected add ons for food, flowers, etc. |
