I hate when we change the clocks. Oldest was up at 6am. She usually sleeps until 8am so this was an hour earlier than normal. Hopefully she goes to bed earlier tonight so I guess that is the only good thing about this.
I wish they would stop changing the clocks every 6 months. It’s horrible for our sleep schedule! |
Fall back is great. Spring forward is a nightmare.
|
They both suck. It's getting a little easier as the kids get older, but it's still disruptive. And not just for children! |
I’m so glad to be done with this! My kids are 8 and 11 now and the last few time changes have been non issues. |
Fall back wasn’t too bad today. We kept the baby (5 months old) awake a little longer last night so he’d hopefully sleep longer this morning, so he was awake at 6:30 am (new time, would have been 7:30 during DST). Preschooler (age 4) was up a little after 6 (formerly 7) but played in his room for awhile.
Spring forward is the worst though. |
12 month old has been going through a period of early morning wake-ups for the past few weeks. So this morning was awful. 4.20am. Would not go back to sleep.
I assume spring forward will be way easier. |
HATE FALL BACK !!! Why is this freaking country so backward? |
Why would spring forward be bad? You put them to bed an hour earlier than they're used to. And possibly you'll have to listen to an hour of complaining/crying about it. That's easier to bear than early in the morning. |
Neither. They adjust to the time difference, just fine. What we do is let them stay up really late on Friday, Saturday. Never had any issues. |
Fall back is always the hardest for my DS. He's 5.5 now, so not as bad as when he was a baby. We have noticed the same thing with travel as well, he adjusts to some time changes better than others. He is always great about going to bed, falling asleep, but tends to wake-up really early. So when we have fall back he is waking up before 6 a.m. for several days and I hate getting up before 6:00! |
I used to love the fall back before kids because I could sleep in an hour. Now I’m just up an hour early with cranky kids.
Can a presidential candidate run on this platform? Eliminate the time changes. I hate early light. Having light in the evenings benefits families and probably lowers childhood obesity. |
Fall back. It’s awful. Only one of my 3 will sleep later going to bed later... it will take weeks to adjust the other 2 (who were both up at 4:30 today). |
Spring forward: Kids are waking up at 6am instead of 7am. We are all getting up an hour earlier. Puke. |
Kids are 9 and 11 and neither has ever been an issue. |
Plus a million. It screws us up for a frickin month I swear |
