Explain why putting baby in third row is easier

Anonymous
Someone suggested this a while back to me and I cannot recall the reason but apparently it was easier for their family than having older kids in the third row.

I can just swing the infant car seat (with baby already buckled) onto the base in the 3rd row. My toddlers in the 2nd row need me to buckle them in.

It's not, and I don't do it. I have 4 kids. Our baby goes in 2nd row.

It isn’t. I guess if your kids were too young to buckle themselves and you needed to go back their to help buckle, it may be easier to click in an infant car seat in the third row.

I put all 3 of my kids in the second row and did not use our third row. We have a suv and you can’t reach third row without folding seat down. My kids were able to buckle themselves.

OP, I think this is only true if you have more kids who need help buckling than you have seats in the 2nd row. In my case, by the time I needed a kid in the 3rd row, oldest could buckle themselves. I don't ever climb into the 3rd row.

I don’t believe that.

In stop and go traffic your car can get hit on the back and having anyone there, baby or not does not seem like safest proposition neither to rode or to get out fast if needed be in some kind of emergency.

Why would you put your baby so far away from you? Having baby in a second row is a necessity but having in a third
is posing greater distress then needed. They need closeness you know.

Safer would be the middle row in the middle seat. Protected more on all ends. Baby is RF so baby will be in a better crash position than any FF kids.

Most people do not drive 3 row cars and we all put our babies and kids in the rearmost row of seats otherwise known as the back seat, you know.

This is one of the stupidest posts I have ever read here, and that's saying a lot.

OMG, you're right, I should move my baby to the front--actually, for max closeness and protection from being rear-ended let me just plop him in the cup holder on the center console. Or better yet, drive with him in my lap like Britney Spears.
