Full EV? There is the Hyundai Ioniq Electric, Chevy Bolt, the Hyundai Kona Electric and Kia Niro (more of a crossover).
I guess the Ioniq is the sedan out of that bunch. |

There is not much for sedans in the us, since SUVs and crossovers are so popular. There is a Honda Clarity and Hyundai Ioniq.

I want the Kona but it's $$$$ - almost the same as the Tesla. And $20k more than the ICE version which seems ludicrous. |

OP, over the past three months we test drove almost all of EV sedans out there that we could find in the DMV. (Full disclosure - we had a Volt so already well versed in EVs.)
We drove a Bolt, a Leaf, the Kona EV, and a Clarity. Plus a Chrysler Pacifica plug in minivan. One of our main areas of focus was backseat comfort - we have a tween who is all legs and the backseat of the Volt is getting tight. We also ideally wanted an all electric EV, not a hybrid EV. So what did we wind up with? A Tesla Model 3. It was by far the roomiest of the sedans we drove, and cheaper than several of them when configured similarly. |

I would love to switch to all electric, but I worry about the general maintenance. Can anyone speak to that? |

| Are you interested in plug-in hybrids? I've heard a lot of great things about the Prius Prime. You have enough all electric power for most commutes, but then it drives like a hybrid for longer trips. |

NP with a Tesla and it’s minimal because the cars are much simpler: no fluids, no ICE, etc. There’s just not as much to maintain. |
| We are road warriors. On family vacations, we just want to get to our destination, so a 600 mile or more day is not unusual. Trips to drop off and pickup the college kids are also same day roundtrips totaling over 500 miles. For this reason alone, I'm out. Do you EV people just not drive like we do? |
PP directly above you: no, we don’t drive like you do. We take road trips, because we have free charging at about the same intervals our kids would need a break anyway, and it’s completely NBD. Sitting and driving for that long sounds like hell to me (having done it many times in my youth), never mind the enormous costs—on multiple levels—of gas-powered vehicles. No, thanks. |
I'm one of the posters above, and we also have a Honda Odyssey for times when we are transporting 6 people and/or need lots of storage (college moving). That said, I find I can only drive 3 or so hours without needing at least a stretch or pee break. With the Tesla fast charging stations (mapped out via the car's computer) you can plan to stop and charge together. |
Well, no, but also, we own a second car. We would take the other car for a long road trip. 90% of our driving is just around town and for that the EV is great. I go months without buying gas. |
