New story out from without a crystal ball about a paparazzi photographer BL and RR lied on in 2015, filing a fabricated/exaggerated police report in Vancouver claiming that the guy was stalking them and hit RR with his car. The guy had evidence including a video disputing many of their claims and they eventually dropped the charges right before trial. But at that point the case had dragged on for two years and the guy was in massive debt and essentially ruined. He apparently is speaking out now because he feels like they’re doing to Justin what they did to him.

Of course this is their MO. They are evil people.

I watched that Crystal Ball video. It definitely shows that they are very paranoid self-involved people and tend to fabricate, spin and escalate based on their perception, which is often inaccurate if not completely wrong.

The worst part was Blake’s involvement. She wasn’t there when the alleged accident occurred but she wrote a statement anyway, adding in all the times this man had supposedly harassed them (but he had alibis like being with other celebrity clients or on a plane/in another city entirely). It’s plausible that they had been harassed by other paparazzi, but it seemed like they pinned every interaction they’d had with any paparazzi on this guy to strengthen their case. As is typically the case with paparazzi, he said Blake’s publicist was the one often calling them and telling them where to go for pics. Blake used very dramatic language in her police complaint like “he’s terrorizing us” and “I was so scared and crying”. Blake gives serious Karen vibes and I do not trust her at all at this point. She seems to weaponize her tears and lean into victimhood.

BL and RR had the case sealed, so the public only knew what RR told them (his publicist gave a statement to people mag I think in 2015 and there’s another article in 2017 when the case was dismissed, but that’s really it).

Agreed. I don't have any issue with the criticism of Blake or Ryan and their PR tactics and past behavior -- they have issues as people and they should be held accountable. But the idea that Baldoni is an "innocent father" is laughable here. He's a narcissist who uses the cloak of "male feminism" to mask weird ideas about women and some obnoxious, boundary-violating behavior. He also sounds like a disorganized and weak-willed director who has no business trying to run a set. I truly do not know who's more at fault in this situation -- everyone is pretty unsavory. But I will never be able to get on board with the people who act like Baldoni is some innocent victim. No way. The most favorable read on this situation for him is that Blake/Ryan really did manipulate this whole thing to "steal" this movie and targeted Baldoni because they saw him for what he is -- a self-absorbed fraud with poor management skills -- and took advantage. That makes them pretty terrible but it is not vindicating for Baldoni.

There is no scenario here where Baldoni is redeemed as an innocent victim in the eyes of the industry. Maybe in the eyes of some fans but how many of those people are actually consuming Baldoni's movies or care about him as an actor or director? I think some people have latched onto him as a poster child for the wrongly accused man but based on everything we know about this situation, he is far from innocent. I think it's possible that what he did on sit falls well short of legal harassment, but that doesn't mean his behavior is okay or deserves to be applauded. I've had plenty of crappy bosses with similar qualities -- passive aggressive about everything, nice to everyone's face but then constantly complaining/talking $hit behind backs, get resentful when people are direct or ask for things (even though the nature of being the boss is that people will be asking you for things), have weird or nonexistent boundaries with everyone an no self-awareness of how that's a problem for someone in a leadership role, talk waaaaay too much about their sex life/mental health/personal history than is professional, have weird ideas about what is normal or appropriate and try to force them on other people. All of this sucks and should not be acceptable in a workplace. Is it "sexual harassment"? In most cases no, but I would have no issue with someone calling out a person like this and even suing them. Working for someone like this is a misery and I sense that set was quite unpleasant for a lot of people not named Blake Lively because of him.

Be careful about making this guy your hero here. There's a lot of evidence he sucks even if he's not guilty of what Livley is accusing him of. We'll see.

I don't think anyone sees some annoying C list actor as a "hero", but the papparazzo case is interesting: they painted him as a violent reckless stalker when he was just a man doing his job, not even there physically for most of what they accused him of doing. So the truth might not even be in the middle and just be pure fabrication on Blake's part.

So, I try to take each piece of new information without bias and without assuming they are automatically in the wrong. This photographer is particularly problematic. It seems many of them are. I mean their job is aggressive and invasive and there’s a lot of tension between celebs and paparazzi obviously.

So I was taking this with a grain of salt. Like maybe they’ve been harassing Ryan and Blake and he deserves it. But it definitely seems like Ryan has a contentious relationship with him, had a situation in the garage, and then decided to twist the truth to falsely accuse this man. He was actually there to film another celebrity, Naomi Watts, and I think when Ryan saw him, he just flipped out and decided to fabricate a story.

Which like, I get being angry at someone, we’ve all been there. Most of us probably just get angry and move on. It sounds like Ryan just uses his power to get revenge any chance he gets.

I also just think people are fed up with celebs and their constant battle to be as public as they can and milk everything from the public, then get really resentful when the public might be interested in them the second they don’t want to share. And that doesn’t mean we deserve or are entitled to celebs whenever we feel like it, but I adore many very famous celebrities who don’t have this problem. If you want to be private, you actually can be really private. That doesn’t mean you’re never going to get photographed in public, but it does mean you can really keep a lot of your private life private and Ryan and Blake have chosen not to do that one bit and then they want to complain about it.

I can name several huge stars I would absolutely LOVE to see more photos of and hear more stories about. But I don’t get to do that because they are good at keeping their private lives private. It’s not that hard.

There’s actually very little evidence he sucks besides what Blake has said. Most people accused of harassment have a pattern and have other victims. Not a single other woman has come forward in this case and said me too. Are we to believe that Baldoni made it 40+ years without harassing anyone if he’s this horrible person you want to paint him out to be. You don’t love his personality, fine, but that doesn’t make him a harasser or predator or anything close to it. And to suggest that he deserves to be falsely accused because you think he has a big ego is the worst kind of victim blaming. Team Blake is super hypocritical. All over this thread people are saying we shouldn’t expect Blake to be a perfect victim. Well we shouldn’t expect Baldoni to be a perfect person and that doesn’t mean it’s ok to ruin his life. Stop with the nonsense already.

Eh, actually he does have a history and has been sued twice, more than Lively or Reynolds as far as anyone knows, which is amazing given their fame in comparison — for racial discrimination and improper termination, and also for the stolen ideas from the Five Feet Apart script where Baldoni escaped the lawsuit (Freedman represented the plaintiff, who had cystic fibrosis, and told him that defendants’ pockets were too deep to settle for more and that he should drop his lawsuit, before Freedman went on to represent Baldoni and Wayfarer hahaha that sounds totally aboveboard and correct).

Before this movie, Baldoni had not really directed any sex scenes and barely directed kissing scenes, except maybe in his own marriage proposal video? So he may not have had much chance to harass the cast on set.

I also agree with PP that Baldoni is no hero, and really think people “on his side” here are posting more to hate on Lively than in support of him. He has all these “fans” on reddit but that certainly isn’t translating into tickets for his “Nice Indian Boy” film. 🤷‍♀️

People also keep posting the stupidestbunsubstantiated gossip here and then keep repeating it over and over, like Trump, as though previously “normal” people are learning from him that if you just keep repeating the same lies over and over then maybe eventually people will start to believe it. I really do not understand how people have the time to spend their days digging up and reposting this stuff but whatever, have at it. The people/person posting that Lively is “done” and is “evil” can’t make this happen just by posting it over and over, and I don’t think it’s good for your mental health, but I guess it’s a free website lol.

Try again, RR has been sued many times. Someone just wrote a letter to Liman asking them to preserve the nicepool discovery because it could be used in their case to show Ryan’s pattern of stealing people’s stories and mocking them in his movies. And I guess you missed the part about how Blake and Ryan lied on a paparazzo and tried to have him criminally prosecuted after Ryan chased him through a parking garage. You’re just looking for anything to smear Baldoni because Blake and Ryan are a sinking ship.

Where can I read all this from a primary source? I'm inclined to believe, but want to read for myself because it's not clear how much is facts and how much is editorializing. It sounds like this guy has significant proof, sort of like Baldoni's timeline, but where can I review that instead of going off what is being repeated from various social media?

NP-The paparazzo contacted a Youtuber about it so the legal documents, video and pics are from him to her. Without a Crystal Ball is the account.
