What about price?

Check the apps and compare.

I do not want to have to sign up for both. Only 1.

Why not? It's not like you have to pay money to sign up.

God you're lazy. Just sign up for one and see how it goes. If you don't like it, try the other one. No need to crowdsource this.

But it varies, so there won't be a 1 that meets your objectives. Usually price is pretty similar, but once in a while there will be a meaningful difference for no apparent reason. And each occasionally offer discounts.

Lyft has been offering discounts regularly. I check both apps for price, and choose the cheapest. Lately that has been Lyft.

A friend of a friend drives for both and says Lyft treats its drivers better, if you care about that.

Lyft all the way. They pay their drivers better and have had way fewer scary scandals.

In my area, Lyft is often cheaper, but waits are shorter with Uber.

I use lyft, even though they’re essentially the same. Also heard that lyft trears drivers better, but who knows.

For short distances, many people can use the Walk app. You pay me $1 then walk there. I guarantee that I won't raise rates.

No, they don't. I know because I drive for both.
