What does this type of weight loss pattern say about my body?

It’s really hard to lose weight at first but once in in the pattern it starts coming off more rapidly. Why?

Pretty normal. The human body is a system. It is resistant to major changes in its equilibrium. It will make all the adjustments it can to maintain its working status until there are no more adjustments to be made.

I also think it's a mental game. When we start to see the weight come off we are more motivated and do an even better job of adhering to a diet. Then we "plateau" which is actually not from our bodies fighting weight loss, but rather from us loosening up our diet when we are feeling content.

I also think there is a huge misconception that weight loss is linear. People think they will consistently see a downward trend in their weight if they are in a calorie deficit. but if you weigh daily and even weekly, you will see that weight fluctuates up and down all the time, even with a consistent diet and calorie deficit This is due to all sorts of factors including water retention, hormones, salt intake, carb intake, being constipated and so on. I often bounce around the same number for a while then suddenly drop 2 lbs.

It can work the other way too --- People will overeat for a week and not see a change on the scale, and think they're getting away with it. Then boom - a noticiable increase.

OP my body is the same way. My body fights it and then suddenly the weight starts coming off.

I weigh myself as soon as I wake up and the downward trend is pretty consistent. It never goes up more than .4 ounces. It if does I make sure I go pee or pop again then weigh again .

That you’re a human?

This is how my body works. I have to fight like hell to lose weight and then suddenly it disappears.

Yeah, it's so weird. Like, increasingly easy the more time goes on....
