they treat their children as their toys/robots.

I was the "this area" poster and I was attempting to poke fun of the "this area" complaint that comes up on every contentious thread.

Alas, I will never be a comedian. Still astonished that anyone could take that post seriously.

At least I can be an annoying mom. It's liberating.

It was clearly a joke -- just in the wrong thread after a good start. Try the Farce thread. (I was joking about the traffic.)

My son it is not perfect but he is a lovely boy with a great smile, loves me,daddy and the entire family. goes with everyone and cries only if he is hungry or tired.

everybody is different so, everyone has a different way to raise your children.

Moms who call ten times in one week to confirm a play date at my house. Yes I know you are eager to get rid of the kid, but I don't forget things like that, maybe one phone call the day before would be fine, but ten? (I am not exaggerating)

Umm, how do you know, are you in there watching, or do you just assume? Perhaps you are a closet non-wiper after pee mom?

Can't we just let this thread die? I, for one, have enough insecurity to fill my time. I do not need to read all of the other reasons you might think I'm terrible, when all I'm trying to do is get through my day and make the best life I can for my son.

And for the inevitable poster...I did not read the whole thread. As you are about to suggest, I do not have time. I read about two pages at the beginning and end, and it made me SO SAD that we choose to spend our time tearing each other down. If I missed some incredible insightful train of thought on how we should all jusy get along in the middle, I do apologize...but I doubt I did.

Sorry - I meant "just". God forbid I have a typo.

I'd pour you a glass of wine if I could. They can hate us both.

Let all get together for chai tea and cupcakes, and then paint rainbows and knit a blanket of sisterly love. BTW you don't have to read this if you don't want to. Nothing wrong with venting, it is a healthy way to reduce anger. Not every mother is going to feel the happy happy joy joy you do.
