Because no one cares about the scintillating ethnic back story of Alec Baldwin's new wife?

I appreciate the super sleuths on this thread. I stand in awe of their collective work.

Hilaria should team up with Susan Sarandon's daughter.

She speaks Spanish well and has a very good accent. However, it is unlikely she would be able to sustain it over a long conversation. When being interviewed she uses filler phrases in Spanish. I recognize them because after spending a year in Spain studying abroad I could do the same along with added gestures and slight head movements that Spaniards made. What is ridiculous is that she pretends not to be a native English speaker and appears to search for words in English. It is sad she tries to hide the fact that her mother is an American doctor and has been very successful.

This. This is immediately apparent. It's decent mimicry but she is never able to speak in above a 6th grade level for any sustained amount of time. Honestly, if her Spanish is decent and she can teach it to her kids, she should be proud of the fact she is an Anglo-American who is passing on multiple languages to her kids and should work on having a bilingual household. But this farce is just ludicrous.

Some people are really good at mimicking language. Also assuming mental illness, not trying to diagnose but figure there's probably some mental health issues to construct and live the lie, some mental illnesses make it easier to speak foreign languages. The mind is amazing!

I see that she responds to comments on IG in spanish sometimes, and I always wonder if she's using a translator.

I am one of them, and this validation is brightening my day. I don't care how pathetic that is. Thank you, thank you ::bows modestly::

A professor nobody had ever heard of just went hyper-viral for pretending to be bi-racial.

Now is a great time for the Daily Mail to jump in on this expose. All the work has been done for them in this thread.

What's her deal?

I do sort of wonder what her relationship with her actually Spanish SIL is like...

She used her “race” to get faculty jobs for minorities.

Yeah I thought of that. If I was SIL I would totally freeze her out.

It does hurt someone though. Lying aside, Hilaria is playing a caricature. She is playing the spicy, sexy flirty Latina stereotype. It's offensive. Stereotypes never help.

Please expand on how her lying about being Spanish, not once, not twice, but systematically and getting others to lie on her behalf is the same as someone who is trans?

What's her deal?

Incessantly posting breastfeeding shots on Instagram.

The Daily Mail are on the payroll. That's why there is an article about Hilaria in there like twice a week. The New York post probably does not want to deal with the wrath of Alec Baldwin, it's probably not worth it for them.
