Biden will obviously lose in November. Democrats will also lose the Senate and House. Senior Democratic leadership - Schumer, Pelosi, Clyburn, Durbin - will also be gone. Retirements. Age. Pushed out.

The upside is Democrats will now have an entirely clean slate to create a new party with a younger generation of leaders. There is no next in line candidate. There is no leadership waiting in the wings. Democrats are free to create a brand new party. They should take advantage of the their upcoming time in the wilderness.

It’s clear from the poll data. Trump is leading in the battleground states. Biden needs those voters, not Trump.
