Don’t forget Harvey Weinstein and the abuses at her school for girls.

Oprah is not guilty of the crimes of any of these people. However. It’s improbable to me that she was utterly unaware of the pervasive rumors about all of this before arrests were made. It’s part of the powerful protecting the powerful by lending them shine socially and otherwise. It also speaks to the idiotic overlapping ideas that those with fortunate earned every dollar, earned it cleanly, and were “tough” only when warranted, where “tough” covers a multitude of sins.

I guess, but how well did these people know each other? You might meet someone at a party but never hear much about them unless you have mutual acquaintances and care to know. Or you hear rumors but why woukd you say something and risj getting sued for slander? They are not even in the same industry--music vs. TV.
