Elizabeth Warren drew the largest crowd of her presidential campaign Sunday in Seattle, as an estimated 15,000 people turned out to support what she calls a movement for change.

When touting her wealth tax of 2 cents on every dollar of assets above $50 million, Warren drew chants of “2 cents! 2 cents!” The loudest applause came when she called for overturning the Supreme Court’s ruling that lifted campaign finance restrictions.

Warren, who is running on a platform of economic populism with proposals such as the wealth tax and more regulation, comes in second behind Democratic frontrunner Joe Biden in many polls.

Folks on Reddit are saying they waited for hours to get their photos taken with her - and that she was warm, engaging, and seemed not at all tired even after giving a speech and meeting thousands of people. (The not at all tired thing seemed important because it emphasizes her stamina - which puts her in contrast with certain other candidates.)

Could it be her?

Her drawing record crowds, and people standing in line for hours to get a selfie with her, suggests that maybe a significant number of people do not see her as a scold.

I don't think Trump would devour her. She'd be a very interesting foil to Trump. Basically, with Biden we get the nice and non-POS mirror image of Trump. Warren is more the antithesis of Trump. I don't know which is the better option but I think both stand a good chance of vanquishing that POS.

At least 15,000 people like her. Trump is too low energy to keep up with Warren. He can't even make it to a full day of meetings. While he is spending 6 hours a day at "executive time" and planning how to stop hurricanes with h-bombs, Warren will be energizing the grassroots.

My friends were there and said she was inspiring.

I will fully support whomever is the Democratic candidate for President.

She does seem to have all the energy going her way right now. Of course, Seattle is as liberal as they come, and Washington is a blue state so she should test her appeal in the swing states.

This.

She should be in PA, the Midwest and the rural west. And FL.

Anyone else feel like two cents on the dollar post $50 mil is crazy low? How about 20 cents? Or even 10 cents?

I’m not even a strategist but think this is the right path. Hype up base, get more uptick in polls, garner excitement before heading to the swing states.

He’ll come at her with the Fauxcahontas stuff but she’ll be able to deflect his negative energy.

She drew 12,000 in St Paul. We’re pretty liberal here but not as liberal as they come.

Assuming you live in Minnesota and talk about politics in real life - what are your friends and neighbors saying about Warren? Do they like her?
