Elizabeth Warren Draws Record Crowd of 15,000 in Seattle

I was not a fan when she got into the race. But she is making a believer out of me. And cheerful, positive, upbeat, energetic— she’s the opposite of Trump. It seems to me like Trump Fatigue is going to play a big role in this election. People are getting tired of chaps and insults and a lack of civility. Enter candidates like Warren and Buttigieg.

He’s going to slam her fake Indian stuff. It’s going to be devastating for her on live tv.

I really don't think so. She has addressed that before, she'll address it again. She is super calm and composed when she speaks in public.

You mean a guy who tells a lie every time he opens his mouth is going to call her a liar and she is going to collapse in a heap of ashes? Fat chance.

Honestly, if no Democrat uses it, then I guess they don't want to be President. You can hardball a candidate about the work they did (Harris) but you can't ask a candidate how they built their career on fraud?

You are either willfully ignorant or a simply spreading right-wing talking points. Warren gained no professional advantage as a result of her heritage:

This allegation has been debunked repeatedly. Only those uninterested in the truth continue to spread the lie.

If would be stupid to ask her this because she did not build her career on fraud and if you gave her the opportunity to say that you'd look like the idiot. Much better just to post about this dumb thing over and over on anonymous message boards.

Right. She kept up the unfounded charade for 30 years to be interesting at parties.

She drew 12,000 in St Paul. We’re pretty liberal here but not as liberal as they come.

Assuming you live in Minnesota and talk about politics in real life - what are your friends and neighbors saying about Warren? Do they like her?

Yes, they do. Her association with Paul Wellstone isn’t going to hurt her chances, let’s say that.

She didn’t keep up a charade. She believed what she had been told by her family. Regardless, if this is the worst thing you have against her, you’ve really got nothing.

It’d be an annual tax. So it can’t really be any more than the expected rate of return (obviously the expected rate of return ranges depending on the asset class, but let’s say that’s 5%). And realistically, the annual wealth tax needs to be a good bit less than that. Otherwise why bother accumulating assets at all?)

She’s an opportunistic manipulator but HE has negative energy?

I just read that Warren beat Biden in a new poll.

I will vote for whomever is the Democratic candidate for president. Anyone but trump or a Republican. Actually I will never vote for any Republican for any office after these last two years.

Nobody likes a scold.

Her drawing record crowds, and people standing in line for hours to get a selfie with her, suggests that maybe a significant number of people do not see her as a scold.

I don't think Trump would devour her. She'd be a very interesting foil to Trump. Basically, with Biden we get the nice and non-POS mirror image of Trump. Warren is more the antithesis of Trump. I don't know which is the better option but I think both stand a good chance of vanquishing that POS.

"Record" for what?! Trump regularly draws crowds this size, and in liberal states. Agree with PP. This is all made up by her campaign staff.

you could read the article and see what the record is - but since you obviously didn't: it's a record crowd for her. the point is that more and more people are coming to see her. 15,000 people is a lot. she doesn't have a previous career as a reality show personality so she's built this just from her political work over the last handful of years. it's impressive. and the crowds for her are growing.

sniff at that as you will, and i'm sure you will!
