More than once I've had a woman--after a couple days of planning a meetup for our first date--come up with some reason (busy workweek, crazy weather, traffic, etc) that we should just order carryout for our first date and have a low key evening instead of meeting for dinner. Whenever that happens I know that all i have to do is not mess up.

Assuming we're talking about a date and not, like, your trainer/co-worker/pastor, where you might need to be subtle, "I think you're really hot and I'd like to sleep with you." That's all. He might say no but he's very unlikely to be offended. It's flattering just to be asked.

You can do go about it however you want. Write a lengthy email explaining your attraction and desire to be intimate...text him a nude selfie...call him and tell him you’re feening for some hot and sweaty satisfaction...
Do whatever you feel most comfortable doing.
