Incident of misconduct at Fairfax County summer camp?

Does anyone know of anything about some type of incident at a Ffx County Park summer camp? There was something posted about it on my neighborhood site, with basically no details. I’d really like to know which camp it is.

Maybe you could be better than your neighborhood site and provide some details of your own. What neighborhood are you from? Fairfax County is pretty big and has hundreds of camps going on during any given week.

My neighborhood is in the annandale/Springfield/Burke area, but there is no guarntanee that this corresponds to the area of the camp in question, as the neighbors post was cross-posted.

The poster’s neighborhood is irrelevant; you either know of an incident, or you don’t.

You are on the same Nextdoor listserve as I am b/c I read the same posting you are referring to this morning.

Quite frankly, everything in the post is heresay and the poster, whom I won't name, seems to be looking more for sympathy and outrage than her faux intent of a hoping her neighborhood has a lawyer recommendation.
She could've just posted "Recommend a Lawyer for incident involving juvenile" and left it at that, but no, instead she had to go into a bit of detail (none of which she has first-hand account for).

Maybe this is how they get people to join the Nextdoor.

In our neighborhood the Nextdoor is hosted by a real estate agent. She has access to member profiles and probably monitors their activities to get the intel. She recently mailed our street asking everyone to join.

Anyone can mail out postcards asking people to join, I think you get 99 post cards and regular reminders that you have not sent them. I am not a RealEstate Agent and have not sent out the post cards.

The poster did not identify the camp, despite several requests to do so from neighbors with kids in County camps/programs. She did say that a police report was filed. The poster said that she doesn’t want to give any further info (including camp name) out of concern for the victim. This is frustrating, as several of us who have kids in the camp system are wondering what the hell happened, and whether our kids are/have been in contact with someone who acted inappropriately with campers.
