Probably true that anyone can mail. But it's not cheap. So who foots the bill for the mailing? I can't people using their own money unless they have a skin in the game. |
Nextdoor pays for them. Mass mailings are cheap and they want people to make choices based on the ads that they see. |

It could be anything. Really. A friend of mine’s son was hit in the head with a baseball bat at baseball camp this summer and had to get 15 stitches. According to her kid they weren’t supervised at the time and the hitter was a kid who had been a problem all week. I suppose a certain type of parent could easily post something vague to Nextdoor about filing a report and needing a lawyer only to be tied back to something like that. |
I am not sure if this is the one that OP is referring to, but I saw a posting on Nextdoor with similar descriptions. I does not say which camp but it was at a younger kids camp. |
