Berner 'Bud' Johnson - Senate Staffer Killed

Anonymous
Why hasn't MPD released any of the tapes from within the restaurant OR out on the sidewalk where Bud was killed?

When will they announce who the assailants were?

He was attacked by a group who were in the same Navy Yard restaurant as him. Surely someone in that group had a bar tab or restaurant purchase, surely there's cameras.

So where is the justice for Bud?

Why hasn't the family said anything? What's happening?

It's like this story completely disappeared.

Sadly horrible things like this happen here. Years ago a state department employee was driving in DC and a person started jaywalking abd he slammed on the brakes and then flipped the guy off who then shot and killed him

Except there's a clear idea of how many people assaulted him, it started in a restaurant with surveillance, and it happened in Navy Yard with plenty of witnesses (including the owner of the restaurant). If they know exactly who did it, why hasn't an arrest been made? Why hasn't a mugshot or lookout been posted?

According to police reports and friends of the family, Johnson was assaulted outside neighborhood restaurant/bar – The Scarlett Oak – in Navy Yard by a group of individuals at 11:30pm last Wednesday night. According to family friends, the assault, involving three individuals, came after a dispute arose between the victim and the individuals inside the restaurant.

Johnson sustained head injuries as the result of the assault and was transported to a hospital where he was found to have suffered brain damage from lack of oxygen. He subsequently died about 9:00pm on Sunday.
